Beyoncé's concert in Dubai

This was quite a bummer; a week and a half ago I was in Dubai for the very first time (now I have to deal with all the costs for a year, I've never experienced anything so expensive, but it was all worth it) and my timing was just really bad. Just a week later there was a big celebration: Atlantis The Royal finally opened and that had to be celebrated. And they certainly know how to throw parties like that in Dubai. This new hotel looks so beautiful and also has a branch of restaurant Nobu with a stunning view. You can imagine that I'm already saving up to stay there one day.

But well, last weekend was exactly the moment you would have wanted to be there. Because besides Kendall Jenner being there because her tequila brand 818 was the host of the opening event, Queen B performed for an hour. Yes, you read that right: an HOUR of Beyoncé. The singer hadn't performed for four years, but for this occasion she was more than happy to make her comeback. Well... And for the 24 million she got for it – that probably played a small part too.

In addition, no expense was spared: gigantic fireworks shows, Beyoncé rising out of the water on a mega stage... Luckily the videos are still there, so we were still a bit part of it.
