Whut: soon you will be able to check in your luggage at home

Are you flying to Spain soon and already dreading the chaos at Schiphol? I must honestly admit that I didn't experience the crowds back then — probably just luck, as I could walk straight through each time. But the images were undeniable; checking in at Schiphol (and the line for customs) was really no fun.
And KLM is now trying to do something about it, in collaboration with Luggo. They started a pilot yesterday where passengers flying with KLM to Spain can check in their luggage at home. Whuut? Sounds ideal of course, but how does this work exactly?
You book this service via the Luggo website, where you indicate how many pieces of luggage you have, where you are traveling to, when; all the information you would also provide when checking in. Your suitcase will then be picked up and Luggo ensures that it ends up on the KLM plane that you will also be on shortly towards the Spanish sun.
Not having to lug around a suitcase; that sounds like music to my ears. But nothing comes for free, so yes, you do have to pay for this. They say it can start from €13.59, but I went to test it and ended up with a slightly higher amount.
I live in Amsterdam, about a twenty-minute drive from Amsterdam, and I would have to pay €43.20 to have it picked up the day before my flight. Still quite affordable, but just a bit more than those thirteen euros...
It really is a nice and handy initiative, and I'm curious if they will do this for more destinations besides Spain. Imagine you're going to Bali for a month, then such a pickup service would be really ideal.
Side note: this applies to all of the Netherlands, except the Wadden Islands; so if you live there, unfortunately, you'll have to keep lugging your suitcases.
