Everything we know about the second season of And Just Like That

This. Is. Not. A. Drill. The much-discussed sequel to Sex And The City, And Just Like That has been renewed for a second season and it promises to be juicier than ever. The good news? It will be available in June on HBO Max and the internet wouldn’t be the internet if it wasn’t already full of spoilers. And not just any spoilers, no, the biggest spoiler has been posted by Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) herself. As a huge fan of the series, I personally can’t wait for the second season and while waiting for the adventures of my favorite girlfriends, Carrie’s looks, and attractive new co-stars, I have dived into the wonderful world of the SATC universe to find out everything about the latest season, resulting in me already being unable to wait. Ready? Here we go:
Aiden returns
I’m just going to admit it: I’m team Aiden through and through. Always have been. So when SJP made the renewed relationship between Carrie and Aiden Instagram official via her own feed, my heart skipped a beat with joy. How. Fun. Is. This. I mean R.I.P Big, but that relationship cost me ten years of my life. The reunion of Carrie and Aiden is the sign for single women everywhere that if it’s meant to be, you will always find each other again. End of story.

Samantha not so much
This breaks my heart more than the sudden departure of Mr. Big. While it seemed at the end of the first season that Samantha might return to Manhattan and heal all our hearts at the same time, she unfortunately continues to shine through her absence. According to insiders, we have to make do with a few WhatsApp messages from our favorite PR queen and that is of course far from enough.
Miranda heads to L.A.
Miranda (or should I say Rambo?), has, praise the lord, red hair again AND is chasing her new love Che Diaz by getting on a plane to Los Angeles. A new choice for the creators of the series, as SATC has always almost exclusively taken place in New York City. Okay, aside from that absolute debacle in Paris, which almost made me start an ‘I Hate Aleksandr Petrovsky club’, but that’s a discussion for another time.
Fashion, fashion, fashion
I know: we all had to recover from heartbreak when it was announced that SATC costume designer Patricia Field would not be working on the reboot of the series. However, we don’t have to mourn for long, as all the outfits of And Just Like That are in the hands of Molly Rogers, Field’s protégé, and Danny Santiago, the co-costume designer for the Sex and the City films. The first images do not lie: the girls are serving looks and the outfits still have that Field flair that we all love so much.
Furthermore, Charlotte has been spotted in an art gallery, which may indicate that she is finally going to realize her dream of running her own gallery, Candice Bergen is returning as the firm and slightly neurotic Enid Frick, Carrie’s editor at Vogue, and Carrie has already been spotted running through the streets of Manhattan in her Vivienne Westwood wedding dress from the first SATC movie. Yes, it doesn’t get more Sex And The City than this. Plenty to look forward to. Plenty to look forward to, and we don’t have to wait much longer: the new season will be available from June 22 on HBO Max.
