Expedition Robinson: Aftershow episode 16

By

We're almost there, guys, ALMOST. And of course: those participants on the island have had a tough five weeks, but let's not forget ourselves either. This has been a rollercoaster for us too, and much longer than five weeks. We've seen Eva arguing with everyone and Krista afterwards with everyone. We've seen tears, we've shed tears ourselves, we've traveled from Loser Island to Winner Island and we've experienced dozens of alliances. Yes, actually we've had it at least as tough as those participants there... Okay, maybe not entirely.

Just one more week, but the semi-final will be just as exciting. We still have a little time, let’s goooohoooo.

1. Miiii gado, what a frustrating challenge again. Jochem's attitude is exactly how I would approach it: you know this isn't going to be a win, but you just see how far you can get. No stress.

2. And in the meantime, Guido is tangled up in that board like some kind of swinging monkey. HAHA.

3. ‘Guido has a special tactic…’ Kicking everyone off balance with your climbing so they lose their focus; I would actually find that a pretty good tactic.

4. Maybe a stupid question, I just doze off during the explanation (I always do), but can't you just climb to the other side if it gets too tough?

5. By the way, that's also one of the many reasons why I wouldn't last a day on that island: I have the attention span of a goldfish, so I would unintentionally cheat in every challenge.

6. And just realize: they still don't know hanging there that they have to smash an eating challenge afterwards too.

7. Willem is the first finalist and that's more than deserved after hanging there for almost half an hour in peace. Next year, everyone will learn from sister Rosa.

8. Those physical challenges seem really tough, very heavy, but that eating challenge is really where I would draw the line. Eyes… EYES. I'm watching this part for a moment with my lenses out. Be right back.

9. And then they finally do that eating challenge again and they immediately make it a three-course dinner, for a final spot no less. I think the producers really have issues.

10. I'm glad Guido is in the final, he's so fun, but I really want Mark to get a final spot too, because I want it for him just as much. From Loser Island to the final, that's just living the dream? Well, aside from all the horrors you have to endure in between, but you get what I mean.

11. I know it doesn't make sense, but I'm really screaming at the TV that Mark has to hit it, because this episode is already way too bad for my blood pressure. YOU CAN DO THIS, MARK. YOU CAN DIIIHIIIIIIT.

12. Ilse as the third finalist: I honestly didn't see that coming, but this is more than deserved. Will we get a woman as the winner again this year? I am totally heeeere for it.

13. And please give Mark a really nice three-course dinner quickly, because he deserves it after those balls, eyes, and legs.

14. How cute too, his extra reaction: ‘I’m participating in the All Star season!’ Hands up if you’ve also fallen a little in love with Mark through Expedition.

15. Next week it’s really happening: Guido sees, as we hear in the preview, immediately ‘that it’s not a normal challenge’. Hello Guido, it’s the finááále. Willem compares the challenge to monkey bars, which could actually work very well for Guido’s tactic this episode. EXCITING.

Who will win the final?
