Expedition Robinson: Afterthought episode 12

By

Yesss, I’m excited about this again. Admittedly, I found the last episode a bit so-so. It was okay because Robinson is always okay, but we want more, of course. More excitement, more tension, more drama, more scheming. Well, we got what we asked for: this episode had it all. Let’s gooohooo.

1. ‘Maxim's departure has stirred a lot among the rest.’ Hooo, this doesn’t sound good. Does the voluntary departure of Jaimie and Maxim mean the rest will fall like dominoes? Please let it not be so.

2. Anyway, fun: an edition of Expedition where no one voluntarily quits. Could that still happen?

3. HAHA, what was this edit of Radmilo about his lack of libido to two monkeys going at it?! They must have laughed their heads off during production.

4. I really like Radmilo, but am I the only one who is surprised every time how bad he is at the end? I really didn’t expect that.

5. Wow, Guido is really handling that well. Not losing even half a second and still able to laugh, then you’re a big player. Hats off.

6. Guido almost walked away with the win and now risks not having voting rights. This new twist in Expedition feels not entirely fair…

7. Also interesting: those duels for voting rights are physically so much tougher than the immunity tests. And neither Guido nor Iris will be voted out as long as Krista is still in, so what’s your motivation? Better lazy than tired, I’d rather skip my vote.

8. This season I really don’t mind not knowing all the celebrities, because Mark, Radmilo, and Jochen are so much fun.

9. I find it quite medium that Radmilo voluntarily goes home third in a row, but that aside.

10. That Krista really has an angel on her shoulder, I must say. She should have been on the plane back a long time ago. In fact, she would already be over her jet lag by the time she gets voted out.

11. My goodness, Floris can even make a hob bag look fashionable as a poncho. Some people can pull off anything.

12. I actually don’t get it: why don’t they vote Krista out en masse now and Radmilo quits next time? That’s a win-win, and those few days don’t really matter.

13. Ho. Stop. Krista is quitting. Walks away. What a small player. Sorry, avoiding all island councils and when it’s really your end you can’t handle it?

14. Nicolette also very dry: ‘Krista has walked away, but I’m just going to continue.’ So unbothered.

15. Also wanting to debate while you’ve already gathered most of the votes. Not exactly the right moment for a debate.

16. Okay, okay, I have to be very honest now: I’m a bit lost as to why Krista is so stunned and upset. It had been coming for a long time and something like counting votes is a medium that can’t really be disputed. They just wanted you gone. Done.

17. But luckily we are now blessed with Krista’s ‘I’m out’ as she marches away, and that will go down in Robinson history as a very memorable moment.

18. Well, well, and then to say that Radmilo made up that he wanted to go home? Edit: I really need to add an edit here, because as blonde and naive as I am… I seriously thought Radmilo really wanted to go home and that was his plan. HAHA. Thanks Radmilo, I’ve been fooled with my eyes wide open. Luckily, there are the Facebook comments that set me straight — thanks for that.

19. And I thought it was going to be a tame episode while I now have to watch my blood pressure again. I always get so unreasonably worked up about this.

20. Another week to recover, that should work.

Was Krista’s anger justified?
