The FavorFlav Top 100 was again a spectacle
This is the Met Gala of the culinary world

I hope you didn't have wild plans to eat at a star restaurant on Monday night, because all the chefs of the Netherlands were not behind the stove, but were all in the Winter Garden of the Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam. If a bomb had fallen there that evening, I fear we would have been condemned to kale and hutspot again. The culinary conscience of the Netherlands had swapped apron and chef's coat for a sharp suit and was being entertained by food platform FavorFlav for an evening of fun.
Who, for example?
Well, who not. From Freek van Noortwijk, Robert Kranenborg, cooking singers Karsu and Shirma Rouse, culinary journalist Mara Grimm to Dries Roelvink (Dries's balls apparently can't be kept up); they were all there. Editor-in-chief Sharon van Lokhorst (in Matthew Williamson with all backup outfits from Iris Apfel) was the hostess with the mostess who gathered all the culis of the country around her.

What was eaten?
Oh, you could wake me up tonight for that bread from Fort 9 that was waiting for us. When the person who was placed next to me didn't show up, I didn't know how quickly I had to grab his sandwich, it was that good. Cooking was done by Tim Golsteijn from restaurant Bougainville (just voted the best restaurant in the world), Thomas Val from restaurant Wils, Chris Naylor from Vermeer, and Casimir Evens from Odille. The desserts were from Maartje de Nie who has the delightful job of making all the pastries for the Krasnapolsky.
There was eating, drinking, dancing, singing by Dries, plates were licked clean, a tear dripped, and even more was eaten. When the last drop was slurped up, everyone headed home. Looking back on a wonderful evening with a winner among thousands, Karsu, who sings, cooks, and above all gives. Whether that is food, love, goosebumps, or the proceeds from her book.
