Disney is coming out with Frozen 3 and Toy Story 5

The best news of the day

If you can now recite Frozen backwards and forwards and have watched Toy Story twenty times, this is the best news possible. A few fresh sequels are on the way: Frozen 3 and Toy Story 5.

Contracts have been signed again for Toy Story with Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Annie Potts. The film will be in theaters on June 16.

It was to be expected that Frozen, after a profit of 2.7 billion and two Oscars (Best Animated Feature and Best Song ‘Let It Go’), would also get a third installment, although Disney once rejected an attempt that was to be shown as a second part. That one was about Elsa's birthday and ultimately never got further than an extended film trailer. When we will be able to see Frozen 3 is still unknown. There was a six-year gap between Frozen and Frozen 2, so if we take that as a rule of thumb, we will have to wait until 2025.
But in the meantime, we can put Toy Story on repeat.
