Why Gabriel from Emily in Paris is the worst

Looks can be deceiving, I realized that again while watching Emily in Paris. Because what is that Gabriel insanely handsome. Purely based on looks, I am therefore #teamgabriel instead of #teamalfie, and I found that quite superficial of myself. If we take a look at what kind of person Gabriel is, then he is indeed the most toxic man in a series in years. Only Chuck Bass might have been worse and we were also massively in love with him. We really have a toxic taste when it comes to men.

What is wrong with Gabriel? Well, what isn't? First of all, he cheats, doesn't tell his girlfriend about it (Camille has to find out for herself) and has zero regrets. Then he remains in love with Emily, but because she doesn't reciprocate, he just goes back to the girlfriend he cheated on, even though he actually wants to be with another girl. More specifically: he actually wants to be with the girl he has already cheated on this woman with. Ugly.

But okay, then he really gives that relationship a chance, right? Nope, he keeps being in love with Emily and eventually admits that too. Well, then you have to do something about that, right? Certainly. The best man not only immediately moves in together, but also thinks it's a brilliant plan to propose to his girlfriend — who is not his current great love — and as a cherry on top (spoiler alert if you haven't finished season 3 yet) he also has unsafe sex with her so she ends up getting pregnant. HOW THEN.

And yes, I think Emily is also a gigantic dodo because she doesn't look beyond Gabriel's looks, because why on earth would you want to be with such a weakling? Someone who is not reliable, doesn't fight for what he wants (he has made exactly zero effort for Emily) and also keeps someone else on the line.

Conclusion: Gabriel is really a pathetic, scared coward. But still an extremely handsome one. Unfortunately.
