Wow: shopping at Zara suddenly becomes a lot easier

Recently, I walked over the Meir again. Normally, I skip this busy street in Antwerp, but Zara is the only reason I show my face (and wallet) there. Once inside, I remembered how quickly I needed to be outside again. That store has so many stimuli for me that I prefer to have it delivered to the door. But whether the online webshop is much better than the store itself is a question I don't have the answer to yet.

Enough complaining, we all keep spending our money on it anyway. So let me make it a bit easier with four shopping hacks that make it a little more pleasant both physically and online. It's just a bit less friendly for the wallet, but that's a problem for later, right?

New stock
According to Zara employees, the new stock arrives in stores on Mondays and Thursdays. Now, it's not the intention to wait right at the door at nine o'clock. It's also their Monday; they need to start up too. Come around eleven o'clock and you'll have your size. By the way, the stock is replenished online every day.

Scroll faster
My personal irritation with the online webshop is the lack of clarity. There is so much clothing, and then Zara chooses to show one item at a time on your screen. If things are really not going well, you also get pointless posing videos as a bonus. Honestly, my fingers get so tired from it. But there's a little tip for that. If you look at the top right of your screen, you'll see one square, two rectangles, and four small squares. Click on the second or third option, and your life suddenly becomes a lot easier.

The real bargains are not at the front
Rumor has it that during the sale, the more expensive items are supposed to hang at the front of the store, hoping they will be sold first. So, are you a sucker for a good sale? Save yourself the trouble and head straight to the back. That's where the real gems are hanging.

Musthaves
So often you hear someone ask where a certain piece of clothing is from, to which the other replies: ‘It's from Zara, but I bought it last year.‘ Missed opportunity, you might think at first. But this doesn't always mean that it's actually no longer available. Bestsellers can be restocked for years, and you can find them under the ’must-haves‘ section. Now you know that too.
