This High Tea is a must-do for any Harry Potter fan

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: This high tea is a must-do for any Harry Potter fan.
Recently, I was in London and as a Harry Potter freak, I had to immerse myself in the magical world of my favorite wizard friends. If you're also a fan, then you will want to go to this magical high tea.
There are a few things for which you can always wake me up: a Harry Potter marathon and a high tea (but mainly the scones) are two examples of this. Lucky me, you can perfectly combine these two in The Potion Room of cutter & squidge .
HE WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED...
This hidden Harry Potter gem can be found in the middle of Soho (which I consider the best neighborhood in London). The Potion Room is located in a tiny bakery where they make the most delicious cakes. Harry Potter fans immediately walk through to the potions classroom in the basement. That's where the fun really begins for our class. We all get to wear a wizard robe, choose a wand, and take a seat at our tables. We receive a brief explanation that we are not at that one famous wizarding school, but at the big competitor. (Despite all the references, Harry's name is never mentioned, something about ridiculously expensive licenses).
And then the lesson begins...

NOT FOR THE LITTLE ONES
Before the high tea is served, we first have a lesson in potion making and practicing a spell by the bizarrely funny ‘teacher’. We have to magically create our own welcome drink. As I write this article, I realize that this whole story comes across as incredibly childish, and if you're not a fan, you probably will never understand what is so fun about this.
Once we have practiced the spell enough, the lights go out (no one saw our so-called teacher press the light switch). Our drinks turn out to be glow in the dark .

DIVINE SCONES
After the hilarious lessons, it's time for what we came for: the high tea. There is delicious warm quiche, there are sandwiches, and of course, there is cake. For me, the centerpiece? A gigantic warm scone that is so delicious, I would come back just for that.
Afterwards, we get a lesson in making magical cocktails with the choice of with or without alcohol – see, this is really not just for kids 😉. Then our magical lesson unfortunately comes to an end.
EXPENSIVE BUSINESS?
For me, the high tea was exactly the Harry Potter fix I needed, but it did come with a price tag. The one and a half hour experience costs a hefty £49.50. For me, it was definitely worth the converted 56 euros, but if you're in London soon and really not an HP fan (do those people exist?), then a visit to cutter & squidge is still worth it, their cakes are really to die for!
