Oh no: from this date you can no longer share your Netflix password
Is it really over for sharing Netflix accounts now? It seems so — so if you're still using your ex's account, that will be a thing of the past starting in March. That's when Netflix will implement stricter rules and even start charging fees if you still share your password. So upon further reflection: feel free to keep using your ex's account if it was a nasty break-up, because then they will have to pay the fee.

That fee has already been implemented in Latin America and amounts to three dollars extra per month. Not a huge amount, but it is when you see the bigger picture: about 34 percent of users in the Netherlands report sharing their account. Well, that's quite a significant amount.

Now I wonder: how are they going to do this? For example, I am logged in on my phone, laptop, TV, projector, and in a holiday home in the Veluwe. But that's really all me. Will there be a maximum number of devices you can be logged in on? Or do they suddenly see a quality film among all the Too Hot To Handle and Love Is Blind and conclude Netflix: hey, that's someone else?

Anyway, maybe it's better not to test it out. Time for my own subscription.
