A word about Victoria Beckham and her daughter-in-law from hell

At least, that's what Victoria herself thinks. I think Nicola Peltz is a ‘great girl’, but everything has gone just a bit differently than Victoria had imagined. She thought, of course: every girl who dates Brooklyn is completely impressed by him and his family. A wonderfully handsome father, fashion icon and sports hero, mother former Spice Girl, fashion designer, rolling in riches; surely a future daughter-in-law would be very happy about that? Victoria thought she had everything under control and had already done a trial stay at Borgo Egnazia in Italy's Puglia before the wedding. But, there were some hiccups. Because Brooklyn did not fall in love with the daughter of the greengrocer, but with Nicola Peltz, daughter of American Nelson Peltz. Nicola comes from a family that occupies the 432nd spot on the Forbes list of richest Americans, but has a fortune of nearly two billion. And the Beckhams pale in comparison. Nicole therefore needs absolutely nothing, zip, nada from her mother-in-law and married just as she wanted: at her parents' estate (and not in Puglia) and, and this really hurt, in a Valentino and not in a Victoria Beckham.
And it continues
Because the shows in Paris are coming up and what turns out? Stella McCartney has booked Gigi and Bella Hadid for her show. Stella McCartney, a rival of Victoria, is said to have done this to ‘get back’ at Victoria because Victoria had once again seduced one of Stella's designers to come work for her. And where Victoria sent the Hadid sisters down the runway for a hefty sum last Fashion Week, now Stella has apparently taken the Hadids back from Victoria.
And that's all the fault of…
Of Nicola Peltz. At least, that's what Victoria would think. Nicola has actually dated Anwar Hadid, the brother of Bella and Gigi, and would thus have close ties with the two. Now it seems to me that Stella McCartney can certainly book Gigi and Bella herself and that she doesn't need Nicola for that, but apparently the seed has been planted.
Curious to see who Nicole will be sitting next to in the front row in Paris.
To be continued.
And, if you have a somewhat rocky relationship with your mother-in-law: you are not alone.
