Yuck: this is what happens when you don't go to a good nail salon

By

Hopefully you've already eaten and/or have a strong stomach, because this might make you a bit nauseous. However, it's also a good warning to never go to a bad nail salon. Does it look unhygienic? Does it have bad reviews? Then it really doesn't matter how cheap it is. Don't. Do. It. TikToker Phoebe knows this now too, but unfortunately it was a bit too late for her.

She went for festive French manicures with a red tip and decorated with some stones. Looks really nice, but when she went to take them off, she was in for an unpleasant surprise... All her nails had developed a green, moldy spot.

And what do you do then? Exactly, you make a TikTok about it to warn others and to complain. Before you form a strong opinion about it: yes, she also went to the doctor. He gave her a cream for the mold, but it did nothing; in the end, she had to let the green spots grow out.

The good news: according to many TikTokers, it's fortunately not mold but pseudomonas (moisture spots), and that happens when moisture gets between your own nail and your gel polish (or another type of fake nails). This is indeed not fixable; you really have to let it grow out.

Even more good news: this is very easy to avoid if you go to a good nail salon where they know what they're doing. A warned person counts for two, because you don't want to walk around with those green spots.
