All the hotspots in Zakynthos that you don't want to miss

The Greek island where all of the Netherlands is currently gathering? Zakynthos of course. Kilos of gyros meat and bounty beaches just over two hours of flying are hard to resist. But where should you go after you've of course visited the oh so popular Shipwreck Beach and the Blue Caves? I'll tell you.
1. Banana Beach
For those who, like me, are allergic to a beach without sand, you have Banana Beach located fifteen kilometers from Zakynthos town. Yes, a sandy beach surrounded by cliffs and green hills with crystal clear water. You can even jet ski, water ski, parasail, and kayak there. The ideal spot if your travel companions can't lie flat on a towel for hours.
2. Cameo Island
Need some extra shots for your photo dump? This private island just off the coast of Zakynthos is the place. This time it's not a hellish three-hour boat ride; you can walk there in just a few minutes. There's an intimate atmosphere, the beach is nice, and there are plenty of turtles to spot. Extra fun if you're out with kids.

3. Anadalis in Argassi
You eat at Anadalis where you have a direct view of the sea and, if you're lucky, the sunset. Call it a cliché, but it always remains magical. As for the food, you won't go wrong here either. The menu mainly features fish dishes, and, save some room for dessert, because you must try the ‘chocolate sphere’.

4. Noe Beach Club Zakynthos
A beach club cannot be missing from the list and this gem ranks very high. You don't need to do it just for an Insta Story. Besides the fact that you feel like you've flown to Ibiza for an afternoon, you can enjoy delicious food (tip: try the sushi) and there's live music. You can easily make a reservation through the website, always handy.

5. Rent a boat
Everything is more fun on the water, especially when the sea looks like a swimming pool. So what do you do? Rent a small boat for an afternoon. Sail to a secluded bay and spend the rest of the day there. If your budget is a bit lower, you can also rent a quad and take a tour around the island. They are available for rent on almost every corner of the street.
6. Porto Limnionas Beach
For those who are fed up with sand between their toes, Porto Limnionas is the bay you want to go to. There you will find a large rock formation with azure blue water in between where you can snorkel. No worries: you don't have to lie on a hard rock. If you walk up the hill, you'll naturally come across some sunbeds and a restaurant. It's a bit touristy, but the view makes up for a lot.

7. Orizontes Restaurant Sky Bar
If you really want to splurge, set your sights on this restaurant. It's located in the north of Zakynthos, about 31 kilometers from the city itself. Man oh man, can you eat well here. From freshly caught lobster and sea bass to souvlaki and bifteki; it's all there. Of course, with a price tag, but that's logical with such a view. Make sure to reserve well in advance. You're not the only one who has this on their to-do list.
