Whut: how often millennials have sex on average

Yeah, finally something we millennials excel at: we actually have a lot more sex than the generation after us, the Gen Z’ers. While they love to criticize us for our side parts, skinny jeans, and the fact that we still use Facebook, we are having much more success between the sheets.

On average, 91 percent of millennials have sex at least once a week, while that frequency only applies to 78 percent of Gen Z’ers. Researchers studying this difference (isn't it nice that there’s research for everything?) indicate that millennials place much more priority on sexual intimacy in their relationships.

However, we are generally a bit more boring when it comes to our sexual escapades. Gen Z is much more adventurous when it comes to trying out different positions, while millennials tend to stick to their old, trusted positions. Moreover, Gen Z feels freer to date more than one person at a time, and they have fewer boundaries when it comes to exploring their sexuality. However, this does lead to a higher risk of STIs and unwanted pregnancies for Gen Z, as 26 percent of that generation reports regularly skipping contraception. Well, that’s not very smart.
