Netflix tip of the day: Colors of Love

No idea why I wasn't aware of this movie's existence yet, but well: better late than never. This morning I suddenly saw it in my Netflix list and my interest was immediately piqued. How could it be otherwise when you spot Chad Michael Murray on your screen? Yes, then you definitely want to know what this is. And so, this is Colors of Love, a delightfully cheesy romcom that has been online since 2021. Yes, that long. Where has this movie been all this time?
I'll quickly go over the plot with you (though that's not entirely necessary, because what else do we need besides Chad Michael Murray?): librarian Taylor (Jessica Lowndes, whom you might remember from 90210) suddenly loses her job and decides to visit her brother. He lives in a small village in Montana and runs a small hotel, but that's not going well either: magnate Joel Sheenan (Chad Michael Murray) wants to completely renovate and modernize this hotel, and of course, Taylor and her brother are not interested in that.
Well, you would never expect it, but sworn arch-enemies Taylor and Joel suddenly find each other quite likable. Groundbreaking. Never happened before in the history of romcoms.
Well, you don't need to watch it for the renewal, but as a nice distraction, this is definitely a recommendation. Don't think too much, grab some popcorn, what more could a person want? Oh right, Chad Michael Murray, but that also works well with this movie.
Side note: have I really gotten old that Chad Michael Murray is still such a thing? He was really my dream man during A Cinderella Story, but sometimes I feel like the younger generation doesn't fully appreciate his looks...
