Wow: Kylie Jenner opens up for the first time about plastic surgery

The latest episode of the current season of The Kardashians has been online since this morning, and they’re going out with a bang. There has been quite a bit of criticism of the previous and this season, as it has been rather boring... As a loyal viewer, I can confirm that: since the family moved to Disney+, there is little reality left. All family members have a lot of say over what can and cannot be aired, and all the real-life drama is left out (the whole relationship and break-up of Kim and Pete, for example, and the umpteenth cheating scandal of Tristan ‘Trashcan’ Thompson). It seemed as if the series was mainly used to promote their collaborations, and that’s not really why we watch The Kardashians.

The one who has managed to save this season a bit is the youngest member, Kylie Jenner. Just in the nick of time, because last week she made some very remarkable statements: she would no longer use Photoshop and denied that she ever had plastic surgery on her face; she said it was all fillers. There’s a good chance she conveniently forgot about her nose job.

In this last episode, she is a bit more honest: she admits for the first time that she had a breast augmentation at the age of nineteen. Everyone could have seen that, by the way, but the Kardashians are known for insisting at all costs that it’s all natural. Kylie actually regrets her breast augmentation because shortly after (six months) she became pregnant with Stormi while she was still recovering from the surgery.

‘I didn’t want to be a bad influence. I didn’t want people to think that you had to get lip fillers to feel good about yourself. Everyone also found it weirder that I lied about it because it was so obvious. I wish I had been honest and open back then,’ she says about the first rumors when she still insisted on ‘just overlining her lips.’

Now she would approach everything very differently: ‘I had beautiful breasts, just, natural. Just gorgeous, perfect size, perfect everything. I clearly would have wanted that I had never had surgery done to myself.’

But what she says next I personally find the most interesting: ‘I would recommend that anyone thinking about it waits until they have children. Of course, I now also have a daughter, and my heart would break if she wanted to change her body at nineteen.’

The word ‘body’ stands out to me here: instead of just talking about breasts, Kylie takes a broader approach. So here’s my prediction: next season, Kylie will be the first KarJenner to be completely honest about plastic surgery. BBLs, nose jobs, liposuctions... I feel it.
