Hmm, I'm not sure if I'm very happy with this trend, which according to Bumble will be the biggest in 2024 in the field of dating. I actually wanted to go exactly the other way; I used to always be attracted to older men, but now that I'm in my Harry Styles phase, I'm going for someone a bit younger. What I've kept the same is that I'm still attracted to the not entirely attainable types.

However, according to Bumble, next year we will massively go for older men. We could already see this a bit with Patrick Dempsey, who was voted Sexiest Man Alive at the age of 57 in 2023. This trend continues: no matter how young we may be, we want older, wiser, and apparently also sexier.

Apparently, that is called a ‘zaddy’, which according to Urban Dictionary is a ‘handsome, fashionable, sexy man with swag’. In other words: Patrick Dempsey. Yes, I totally get that, because that man just seems to get more attractive.

And when I think about it, there are quite a few zaddies in celebrity land: Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lenny Kravitz, George Clooney... Upon further reflection, I don't think this trend is so bad after all.
