Here's how to massage away your bloating in five minutes

I think a lot of people can relate to this: sometimes you have those days when just a sip of water is enough to give you a belly that feels like you've been happily expecting for months. Not really the look you want to go for if you haven't embraced mom life yet, but it also feels super uncomfortable. I've gotten used to it: every day there's a moment of physical discomfort because my belly is acting up. Still, I recently decided to look for a solution. Partly to get rid of the discomfort, but mainly because someone with a loving gaze made space for my belly in the bus. Yup: awkward. My food baby and I have lovingly accepted the empty spot, but pleasant is certainly not the word. Luckily, there's light at the end of the bloated-belly tunnel, because with this DIY debloat massage, you'll have a calm and flatter belly in no time.

Here's how to do it
1.
Use a nice oil to massage your belly.
2. Start at the top left of your stomach and glide with light to medium pressure down to the bottom left.
3. Repeat this two to three times.
4. Then glide from the top right in a diagonal motion to the bottom left.
5. Repeat this two to three times as well.
6. Finally, make one last gliding motion from the bottom right, up and around to the bottom left. Repeat this two to three times.

This way, you help the natural movement of your intestines along. You could do this every day, but for many people, two to four times a week is enough. Of course, don't do this if you're pregnant or have a health condition, but for everyone (not pregnant and healthy) with belly complaints, this is a lifesaver.
