‘I have very bad news’

I want to talk about Paula again for a moment. Of course, there is editing and directing in the montage, but girl, girl, what do you think of it yourself when you watch the episodes back? I'm afraid you have shot yourself in the foot really hard with this and reduced the chance of any future loves to zero. Poor Remco is trying to make something of it by telling a story about a ship he once loaded and that is lying there in the harbor. Funny and coincidental, right? But what do you say in the conversation afterwards? ‘Yeah, he had something with that ship or something. I don’t remember what. I was no longer interested in him.’ Why? Did he throw a glass of wine in your face or something to deserve that?
And then still respond negatively to his purchases. Immediately buy something in the first store. Not even looking further to see if you see something nicer. What a shame, huh, that Remco. That he bought a gift for his sons and still tried to make a nice day out of it. Paula preferred to turn up her nose at the tourist stuff and the little trullihouses. She is of course also a fashionista at heart, you shouldn't put her in an Italian harbor town. All completely nothing.
Meanwhile, Carlo pulls us through the commercial break with the text ‘Guys, I have VERY bad news about Martijn and Nicole.’ Then you think: died during the handbrake incident? Crashed with the helicopter during a tourist tour? Ooooo, a fight. Okay. Carlo is a master at many things, like exaggerating.
Oh, and further I find Stephan and Patricia adorably sweet. Just like Loes and Wichian (love is zipping up a stuffed suitcase together, I saw on Twitter) and I don’t know if Cathelijne and Laura will make it, but at least they are having an intensely fun time now and I wish that for them.
I’m ready again tonight. And Paula, I’m grateful to you too, you know. Without you and your mother, my pieces would be a lot duller.
P.S. Can you also not hold back your laughter when you hear someone say ciao ciao without any ulterior motive? It’s a MAFS-thing. :)
