The term ‘nepo baby’ has probably not escaped your notice; celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner are constantly called out for it on social media. Nepo baby is actually an abbreviation for ‘nepotism baby’, which refers to someone who receives certain advantages in life purely because of their family. Believe it or not, but Hollywood is actually full of them and I'm almost certain that you didn't know about some of them. Did you know, for example, that Kate Hudson is also a nepo baby? I certainly didn't.

Kate Hudson
Her acting skills in the film ‘How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days’ apparently didn't come from a stranger. Her mother Goldie Hawn was a well-known Hollywood actress who has won two Oscars. And not only that, because her biological father is Bill Hudson: actor, comedian, and musician all in one. Kate has actually had very little contact with him, but it’s definitely in the genes. In an interview she mentioned that she doesn't necessarily mind the term nepo baby. ‘If you work hard and you kill it, it doesn’t matter.’ You’re right, Kate.

Gwyneth Paltrow
This woman continues to amaze me every time and now again after I found out that she is a nepo baby. Both of Gwyneth's parents are big names in the film industry: her father Bruce Paltrow was an American television and film producer and her mother Blythe Danner is a former actress. The best woman is now 80 years old but was still acting in films four years ago.

Liv Tyler
If I say the name Steven Tyler, most people will probably recognize it. Yes indeed, that lead singer from Aerosmith. His daughter is Liv Tyler, whom we know as Arwen from Lord of the Rings. ‘Fun’ fact in between: Liv only found out at the age of eleven that Steven was her biological father. Her mother Bebe Buell was a model and has appeared on the cover of Playboy among other things. Miss Tyler chose a slightly different route than her parents.

The oh-so-beautiful Jennifer Aniston had a slight head start with soap actor John Aniston as her father. John played in the popular American soap opera ‘Days of Our Lives’ for 37 years. That Jennifer also dove into the soap world with her role as Rachel Green in Friends is certainly no surprise.

And not just any family, because her father was Jon Voight, a mega-successful actor who has won more than fifteen well-known awards in his career. It's fascinating to see how Angelina Jolie has done exactly the same by snagging an Oscar just like her father. Like father, like daughter.
