Netflix tip of the day: Barracuda Queens

Do we still remember the story of The Bling Ring? A group of young friends who were robbing the houses of Hollywood stars. Among others, Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, and Lindsay Lohan were their victims. You can imagine that it quickly becomes big news when such stars are robbed, especially when it happens to multiple stars.
You might also imagine that a story like this is a successful formula for movies and series. We already had The Bling Ring with Emma Watson, and now we have Barracuda Queens on Netflix. The latter is the newest and also the best; it's really a must-watch. It's a Swedish series (which I actually always find very well made) and only loosely based on these events, so it doesn't feel like you're watching a story you already know.
It somewhat resembles Euphoria, except that the women in Barracuda Queens are already studying and are no longer in high school. They really love to party, so much so that they've spent a lot of money on it and are now in debt. And who can solve those debts for them? Exactly: the rich people they decide to rob.
The series consists of six episodes; perfect for a good binge session. With the sun outside, it might feel a bit of a waste, but definitely save Barracuda Queens for your first hungover day. You won't regret it.
