Netflix Tip of the Day: Burning Body

Last weekend, I couldn't get enough of Netflix: I had thrown out all my plans and only scheduled dates with my cat and couch. Delightful. What I didn't quite expect, though, was that I finished the latest season of Sex Education at a rapid pace, and the newest episodes of Love Is Blind also went by quickly.

So I had to look for a new series, but that also gave me a good tip: Burning Body, a new series that is now online on Netflix. It's also based on a true story — which I always find a bit more interesting.

Burning Body is about Pedro Rodriguez, a police officer who was murdered in 2017. His body was found in a burned-out car (which also explains the title), and the search for the perpetrator has quite a lot of twists and turns in this series.

Deception, violence, infidelity, and other sexual scandals come to light, keeping you entertained every second while watching. On Rotten Tomatoes, it gets a score of 63 percent (the audience gives it 79 percent on that same site), and I can agree with that. It's not incredibly groundbreaking, but it's a very interesting case, and the series manages to hold your interest for eight episodes. You also don't have to think too hard about it, which is sometimes exactly what you need. This series is definitely easy to watch, so I give it a solid pass.
