Ingredients for 12 pieces 

  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 375 ml milk
  • 150 g fresh spinach
  • 1 red onion
  • a knob of butter
  • 200 g grated cheese
  • salt

This is how you make the savory pancakes

  • Put the flour in a bowl and add a pinch of salt and the garlic powder. Make a well in the center of the flour and beat the eggs into it. Add about a quarter of the milk and mix with a whisk or mixer until smooth. Gradually add the rest of the milk and mix until you have a smooth batter. Chop the spinach finely, chop the red onion, and add to the batter.
  • Heat a bit of butter in a small frying pan. Scoop some batter into the pan with a ladle and let it spread over the bottom. Don't make the pancakes too thick, a maximum of half a centimeter. Flip the pancake when the top is dry and the bottom has a nice color. Use a spatula or the lid of a pan to turn the pancake over. Bake the other side until golden brown. Garnish the pancake with some grated cheese.
