Why you should never brush your teeth after your skincare

Seriously, I learn so much from TikTok. Of course, most of the time I'm mindlessly scrolling through people eating, dancing, or doing their makeup, but every now and then there's a really good tip. For example, a TikToker told me that you should never, ever brush your teeth after your skincare routine. I had no idea about that. Not that I have a specific order, but I had never heard that it’s an absolute no-go.
So I went to the all-knowing oracle, also known as Google, and what do you know? It’s really true. You should never brush your teeth after cleansing and caring for your skin.
Why? Because there are always bacteria left behind after brushing your teeth. In your mouth, but also around your mouth. And if you've just done your entire skincare routine before going to sleep, those bacteria will happily linger there all night.
That’s why you should always cleanse and care for your face after brushing your teeth, so you really remove all (or as many as possible) bacteria from your face before heading to bed. If you do it the other way around, it can cause more pimples around your mouth and chin, dry skin, or irritations. Are you experiencing this? It might just be due to this order.
