Dunkin’ Donuts is coming out with a donut pizza

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: Dunkin’ Donuts is coming out with a donut pizza.
Uhh, okay: I can't quite believe that this isn't some kind of April Fool's joke. I know it's not April 1st yet, but I find this a very bizarre action. Dunkin’ Donuts is turning six years old and I understand that it should be celebrated, but do that with something you are best at: DONUTS. But no, they are taking a different approach: Dunkin’ Donuts is coming out with a pizza in the shape of a donut.
Dunkin’ Donuts has announced that they want to expand their range in the coming year, and this pizza apparently belongs to that.

Salami pizza, but on donut dough
However, Dunkin’ Donuts is not going for the traditional pizza, but for pizzas with donut dough. I'm not quite sure what to expect: a salami pizza, but on sweet, fluffy dough? I love pizza so I definitely want to try this, but I am quite skeptical about it.
And Dunkin’ Donuts is totally okay with that: they are starting with a small range. If the pizzas are well received by the guests, they might expand the menu further. By the way, the pizzas are not the only addition to the menu: they are also coming out with toasties and sandwiches. In other words: Dunkin’ Donuts is becoming much more than just coffee and donuts. That actually sounds pretty good.
