Prince Harry gives interviews: ‘I want my family back’

Harry wants his family back

After watching the docu Harry & Meghan, are you still not tired of the couple? Well, that works out well, because Prince Harry has given another interview with ITV. It will be released online next week, but it doesn't stop there; he has also given an interview to CBS, which will be shown later.

We have already seen some snippets of his interview with ITV, in which we hear him say that ‘he would like to have his father back.’ Prince Harry also says: ‘I would like to have my brother back.’

In the trailer, he also talks about the fact that no one within the family has shown remorse towards Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, and that any attempt at rapprochement or reconciliation has been absent to date. Now, I am not part of the Royal Family (thankfully, I couldn't handle that at all), but I find those statements quite striking. I mean: this couple just released a six-part documentary on a commercial streaming service that mostly focused on what that family has done wrong. And also about the fact that they know that the British royals never respond to such things, so there will be no reaction to the documentary series.

But it is clear that Prince Harry misses them and wants to restore contact (although that may not have come across well in the documentary; perhaps it will in these two new interviews): ‘I want a family, not an institution.’

Check out the trailers below, which are previews of the interviews. I have a soft spot for Prince Harry, because I think he doesn't mean it all that badly. But if I may give unsolicited advice: call each other. Make an appointment. Ah, life is so much simpler and easier when you don't belong to the Royal Family...
