All the things you can say to yourself to feel better

Do you know that feeling when nothing works, everything is stupid, and you feel like no one understands you? At such moments, the word ‘bad day’ is almost written on my forehead. Although it is impossible to always move through life optimistically and full of happiness, those down moments are still something you absolutely don't want to deal with. To help myself through those moments, I often talk to myself using sentences my psychologist once taught me. They really help me to calm down and tackle the day with renewed courage, and that's why I want to share them with you now. Hopefully, you'll find them helpful the next time you find yourself in a rut.
1. So many beautiful things are yet to happen
Probably the best thing that has ever happened to you hasn't even happened yet. Of course, no one can predict what that will be, but the mystery and joy that knowledge brings always helps me tremendously through a bad day. You are going to discover so many beautiful things, places, and people, and you haven't met all the people you will ever love yet. How nice is that thought?
2. You don't know if something is good or bad when it happens to you
Something I once described as the worst thing that ever happened to me turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. Without going into details, it gave me the push I needed towards a freer, more enjoyable, and more beautiful existence. So don't react too quickly to events and let them unfold.
3. Your future self can handle anything
Your future self is always smarter than the you from the past or the you of now. She will solve all the problems you will encounter in the future, so you don't need to worry about that right now. Just think about the problems you had ten years ago: they seem very small now because you are a lot smarter these days. It works the same way for future problems.
4. The worst thing that ever happened to you, you've already survived
Sure, that experience wasn't pleasant, but you got through it. You never know what life throws at you, but you do know that you have survived everything so far. You are stronger than you think.
