Italiamo is the site for every Italy lover. Even if you are not heading to Italy, they know how to bring the Italy feeling to you. Here you can read everything about the best pizzas, the undiscovered gems of Italy, but also about the best ready-made lasagnas from the supermarket.

I have a secret and that is that I almost never cook. I prefer to dive into the supermarket in search of a good ready-made meal, or I order. I have tasted all the microwave lasagnas and these are my findings. Some are very good for combating a hangover and others are actually quite tasty too.

5x ready-made lasagnas

Casa Morando Lasagne Bolognese from Aldi – €1.39
This lasagna from Aldi looks quite tasty and the advantage is that it can be heated in the microwave in five minutes, but of course, it's better in the oven. The bolognese and béchamel sauces taste fine on their own and there is a good amount of meat with a bite. For a few euros, a lasagna that you always want to have at home for emergencies.

Daily Chef Bolognese from Dekamarkt, Coop, and Dirk – €2.49
I love cheese and as far as I'm concerned, there can never be enough cheese on my lasagna. Daily Chef understands this like no other. This ready-made meal is therefore cheesy and good for a quick bite. There seems to be meat in it, but unfortunately, I taste that a bit less. But a good mix of cheese, sauce, and pasta sheets is also quite nice. Another advantage is that you can get this ready-made lasagna at many different supermarkets.

Fresh lasagna bolognese from Lidl – €2.99
At Lidl, they understand ‘fresh’ a bit differently than I do, but for such a budget-friendly option like this, I can't complain. Tastes differ, of course, and you probably find Lidl's version tasty after a heavy night out. Lots of white sauce, lots of bolognese, and occasionally you find a piece of carrot or zucchini in between. So if you're mega hungry and looking for a greasy bite for a bargain, it's a decent ready-made lasagna.

Albert Heijn fresh lasagna with spicy minced meat – €5.29
What I really like about Albert Heijn is that they have fresh meals there. No idea how fresh it is, but with this ready-made lasagna, I can at least distinguish what exactly is in it. In this lasagna, you can see grilled zucchini and cherry tomatoes, and instead of grated cheese and béchamel sauce, mozzarella and tomato sauce are also used. For a spicy lasagna, the meat could be a bit more seasoned, but all in all, the lasagna sheets are nice and firm, and the tomato sauce is also quite good.

Jumbo fresh meal lasagna bolognese – €5.79
A bit on the pricey side, because for almost six euros I can also get a complete dish at the Thai place that I can eat for two days. But to be fair: this ready-made lasagna tastes better than I would make it myself. There are real tomatoes in it, and it is topped with Parmesan cheese, my favorite. The balance between meat and sauce is perfect, and I could eat this ready-made lasagna every week.
