These restaurants in Amsterdam are open on New Year's Eve & New Year's Day

To be completely honest, I've never really been into New Year's Eve. It always makes me a bit anxious because I find it so much hassle and obligatory cheerfulness. Everyone is always stressed, at the last moment it seems to go differently again, and the parties often disappoint.

That's why I always focus on my favorite part of the evening: the food. Enjoying each other's company, toasting to the new year, and having great conversations. And of course, a lot of drinks, that's part of it too. That can be at home, but it can also be in one of these three Amsterdam restaurants, because they really make it a party.

1. Nela
One of my favorites in Amsterdam is going to ring in the new year with a bang, because here it's a big celebration on December 31st. Of course, with a festive dinner beforehand, lots of bubbles, and a DJ until the early hours. This sounds really amazing to me, especially with this view, it's going to be spectacular with all the fireworks.

2. VanOost
If you're looking for the most extravagant party and dinner for New Year's Eve, you're in the right place. This restaurant is located in the Pillows Maurits at the Park hotel (so you can always book a room if you don't want to go home) and they have really thought of everything. An eight-course menu including a drinks arrangement, access to the party, and an open bar until one o'clock at night. Okay, it may cost a bit (450 euros), but then you're also completely ready for the rest of the evening.

3. Cecconi’s
Another beautiful location in Amsterdam, namely in the Soho hotel. Here too, you won't miss anything: for 195 euros, you get a five-course menu and are entertained by a fantastic pianist. I always find the ambiance here amazing, it really exudes luxury, and the food is also incredibly delicious. It's going to be hard to choose with this list...
