Science says: these are the bad first dates

A long time ago, I wrote about what research suggests you should do during a first date; going to the amusement park. The adrenaline you share would create a deeper bond, and that is of course very beneficial for a date.

Still, it seems intense to me to be away for a whole day as a first date, and then also to tackle the scariest roller coasters. And I haven't even mentioned all the waiting; a ride might last a maximum of two minutes, and with a bit of bad luck, you could be waiting in line for an hour and a half. I can't imagine that brings out the best in people...

But according to research, it really is different, if we are to believe Tombola. This British site researched what you should NOT do on a first date, and I find the answers quite remarkable. I understand number one — because going to the movies is also the worst idea ever for a first date... But why is ‘going to a funeral’ only number nine? Do people really prefer to be surrounded by grieving people than to eat a Big Mac together and watch a movie? Is this the reason I haven't met my true love yet? Should I go to more funerals?

Well, this research was conducted among 11,000 people, and this is the result. Make the most of it, I would say, although there isn't much left to do for a first date... Maybe that amusement park then?
