Mark September 1st in your calendar, because that's my birthday. Oh yes, and the new Dutch romcom Happy Ending will also be on Netflix then, which you probably find a lot more interesting. The trailer just dropped and I must say: I am positively surprised. I had no idea what the movie was about (and that while the title speaks for itself), but I think this will genuinely be a fun movie. A nice, and much-needed, change from all the Verliefd op Ibiza/Bonaire/Thailand/Bali/any tropical country that is used as an excuse for the cast to go on a work vacation.

Happy Ending is about the couple Luna (Gaite Jansen) and Mink (Martijn Lakemeier), who have been together for a year. They met on the beach and have been inseparable ever since. Their relationship is going smoothly, except for one missing highlight: Luna has been faking all her orgasms since they got together.

Of course, she wants to change that and therefore suggests trying some new things in the bedroom. Eventually, they come up with the idea of having a threesome, and the night after, it already happens with Eve. Well, you probably see it coming a bit... Eve brings Luna to a lot of highs without any effort, and that is quite confusing for Luna. She wants to keep seeing Eve, but doesn't tell Mink. Messy, messy, messy.

So the trailer just dropped and it's been a long time since I've genuinely looked forward to a Dutch romcom, so hopefully it will meet all my expectations, but I have good hope.
