We need to talk about Sex/Life season 2

Sex/Life season 2 Netflix

If anyone still doubts the saying ‘sex sells’, I would ask them to watch Sex/Life. Because holy yes, it sells. This series is proof that you don't necessarily need a strong storyline as long as you have attractive people who also occasionally take off their clothes. Sure, it does have a storyline, but it's deliciously thin: Billie leads two lives, one with her husband and children and one with Brad, her ex-boyfriend. The latter brings out feelings in Billie that she hasn't felt in years and that she actually doesn't want to live without anymore.

Between the lines, you can read: a lot of sex. And we already knew that from the first season. There, too, we didn't talk about the acting performances or plotlines, but about the question of whether actor Adam Demos's was a prosthesis or not the real deal.

The actors themselves remain silent about it, although it does seem that it was a prosthesis. But then came the second season. And what should we talk about then? Exactly. The prosthesis is back. Or... Is it now the real deal?

We fast forward to episode six, around eighteen minutes in. It's hard to miss: we get to know Devon (played by Jonathan Sadowski) a lot better in this scene. He tells a friend, Cooper, that he had reconstructive work done on his penis after he was involved in a car accident along with two sex workers. They then gave him some extra length and a penis pump so he could keep his penis in motion. And he shows us the result in full glory.

It seems to be a recurring theme in Sex/Life: each season a new penis fully in view. The previous one turns out to probably be a prosthesis, but what about this specimen? The creator of Sex/Life, Stacy Rukeyser, only says the following: ‘A gentleman never tells.’ Then we just have to wait for someone from the prosthetics department to slip up, just like in the previous season.
