Gimme, gimme, gimme a maaaan after midnight. It's one of the many Abba songs that I can sing along to loudly (and I love doing that) and that I can never get enough of. Recognizable? Then I’m sure you also want to Mamma Mia! The Party because I think it's going to be really amazing. It's a dinner show in Rotterdam, completely in the Greek style of the film (they recreated the island of Skopelos, where Mamma Mia! takes place), with all the well-known music sung live (and you can sing along) while you enjoy a four-course dinner. Oh yes, and there's also an afterparty if you can't get enough.

Sorry, but doesn't this sound too fun? Unfortunately, the show is only in the Netherlands for ten weeks and we have to wait a bit: the first show is on September 18, 2024, and the last is on November 24, 2024. But good news, because you can already score tickets via this link.

This show has been seen before (and still is) in London and Stockholm, so if you're going there for a weekend soon, this is definitely something to keep an eye on. And definitely check the site, because it looks really spectacular. I'm curious how much it will be appreciated when I sing along at the top of my lungs, but I assume I'm not the only one...

My only dream would be that this exact concept could also be launched in the form of The Sound Of Music, because that still remains the best musical ever. But until then, I think this is a great alternative.
