In 2023, singles will broaden their horizons and hold less tightly to the type they usually fall for. According to Bumble, this is because people are increasingly looking for an emotional connection and are less focused on appearances. The new year is therefore all about ‘out of the box’ dating and more depth. Well, that is sure to yield something beautiful.
2. We strive for a better balance between dating and our own social life
According to Bumble, people are becoming increasingly aware of their social and emotional needs. This means that not everything has to revolve around dating and you prefer not to lose yourself in the other person after a few dates, but rather build something slowly with someone while maintaining your own nice life. This is also known as ‘slow dating’, a healthy trend, if you ask me.
3. We strive for a better balance between work and love during dating
People apparently prefer a relaxed life more and more over hard work, because according to Bumble, participants clearly indicated that they would rather not date someone with a demanding job. Quite funny; previously this was considered attractive, but that is now a thing of the past and an absolute no-go. I must say: I can relate to this.
4. Love knows no boundaries anymore
The dater of 2023 has no trouble traveling for the one. On the contrary: long-distance relationships are becoming increasingly attractive. As a result of corona and the remote work that has persisted, people are placing more value on their freedom. This leads to beautiful romances all over the world. So it could very well be that your next date is far from home.

Good news: due to the pandemic, quite a few relationships and marriages have ended in the past two years. Okay, this is of course very sad, but on a positive note: there are a lot of new singles on the market. Nice, right? The choice is suddenly huge in 2023.
