The fragrance heaven called Skins

‘Let’s walk this way, then we can stop by Skins.’ I had lunch with Daniëlle, my unmatched sales director at the Conservatorium Hotel, and we just can’t leave the place without having sniffed around at Skins. Skins Cosmetics, you probably know it, is the paradise full of luxury products. They are so good that they even manage to surprise people like me, who regularly dive into the world of beauty for work, with products and brands I didn’t know. If you really want something special and exclusive, you just have to go to Skins.

I always love to be guided by the people who work there through their items. Recently, they told me about Parfums de Marly. They are inspired by the history of the palace and gardens of Versailles, in the area where the founder grew up. The scents are modern but have French elegance and always that touch of classic that makes it so incredibly stylish. The sculptures of horses that you see in the bottles also refer to the court of Versailles.

Last year, I received a shimmering body oil from Maison Francis Kurkdjian with three scented candles that were completely in Christmas theme. I found it an unprecedented luxury to apply this lovely scent after I had taken a bath and was getting ready for a Christmas dinner. If there’s one thing this house wants, it’s to let you experience that luxury feeling. They do this with perfumes, body products, and lifestyle items.

INITIO is one of those brands that I had never heard of, but that I already want to have, if only because of those beautiful bottles. I haven’t even smelled it yet, can you imagine.

INITIO Parfums Privés believes (and I wholeheartedly agree) that the power of scent is that it leaves an indelible impression on body and mind. Scent can be immersed in pleasure, passion, and lust, making you want to experience it over and over again. The perfume house creates original, irresistible scents that make the wearer and those who smell them addicted. And that’s what I want.

I’m going to stop by again this week to pick up some nice Christmas gifts. From a Christmas candle from Eau des Sens Eau de Toilette to Le Labo wash for the dog, and since I’m there, I’ll treat myself as well.
