Wow: this is how much is watched on Netflix on average per year

Are you a real binge-watcher when it comes to Netflix? When a new series is online, I can honestly watch it for hours on end, on other days I don't turn on the TV at all. So I have no idea what my average is, but I fear that I am a bit above average.
We actually watch Netflix en masse daily, but that won't come as a surprise. And I actually thought that during the pandemic we would reach gigantic heights in terms of viewing hours, but in reality, it’s not that much. Before the pandemic, we watched an average of two hours a day on Netflix, during the pandemic 3.2 hours a day. Okay, it’s a full hour more than before, but considering how little we could do, this still seems quite reasonable to me.
Of course, we don't just look at Netflix. We now have so many more options when it comes to streaming services, we still have YouTube and regular TV. According to research, we spend only 8 percent of our time in front of the screen watching Netflix — to be honest, I expected that percentage to be higher.
And then last but certainly not least: by far the most surprising thing from this entire study. The most-watched movie ever on Netflix is a film I haven't seen yet, and to be honest, it doesn't attract me at all. It's the movie Red Notice, starring Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson, and Gal Gadot. This movie surpassed Bird Box, which came out in 2018, and that one is still number one for now. Now I have the feeling that I am the only one who hasn't seen this yet...
