Forget Ibiza: holidaymakers are flocking to this destination

By

We previously wrote that Albania is becoming extremely hot as a holiday destination in the near future, but there are more newcomers this year. Where holidaymakers used to flock to Ibiza for years (both for vacation and partying), it seems that another destination is about to take over that popularity. This trend is already happening in England: this year, people are skipping Ibiza for the first time; they are flying a bit further.

Ibiza has become too crowded and, above all: too expensive. And that’s why people are now flocking to… Tanzania. Perhaps not the first alternative you would think of since you spend quite a bit longer on the plane, but then you do get something: the temperatures are warmer and the cost of living there is much cheaper. The Brits are especially happy that pints of beer here cost about a euro. I can understand that.

The food here is also much cheaper, just like the beautiful accommodations. Where you spend thousands of euros on a bit of luxury in Ibiza, you can sit on the beach here for a fraction of the price.

Of course, the big clubs that you have in Ibiza are not present here, but Tanzania does have Zanzibar on offer and I think that’s a great alternative. Less partying, more tropical relaxation. I’m all for it. And on top of that, you can also spot a lot of wildlife in Tanzania; that has been on my bucket list for years.

The chance is therefore quite large that you will be stuck with many Brits; they actually started this trend. I can easily imagine that many countries will follow. Previously, 75,000 British tourists went to Tanzania each year, and that number is now approaching 150,000. Mark my words: Tanzania will become very popular in the coming years.
