This is how you make the perfect vacation book
With the May holiday in sight, there is a good chance that half of the Netherlands will take a break for a well-deserved vacation. And you want to capture all those moments (as much as possible). But we all know how that goes: dozens of vacation photos that only remain in the gallery of your phone. Such a shame. To prevent this, it's best to make a photo book the old-fashioned way. No, I don't mean a standard collage book, but rather a professional coffee table book à la Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent that you can stylishly place on your coffee table. TikToker Isa Luna shows how she did this, and the end result is too beautiful not to share.

How to make this photo book is as follows:
Step 1. Designing
You go to the app ‘Canva’ and select an A4 template. On the first page, you paste a photo that you want to use as the book cover. Here you can add text, for example, about the trip you took. Then, on each page, you use one random photo and distribute it over the entire surface. You can choose to use multiple photos on one page, but that takes away from the idea of a chic coffee table book. A small tip: make sure to choose two nice atmospheric photos in the middle of your book. These will be the most seen when you lay the book open on the table.
Step 2. Exporting
Once it's completely finished, click on export and download the file as ‘PDF print’. Just don't forget to check the option ‘crop marks and bleed’. The printer needs this to know where the cut lines should go. Sounds very complicated, it is, so just check it.
Step 3. Printing
With Canva, you can do a lot, but unfortunately not print. For this, you use drukwerknodig.nl; they will print the book for you. It's quite simple: you select ‘print hardcover book’. Then you upload the PDF file and click on all your desired specifications for the book.
And this is it, a child can do the laundry. It looks a bit more sophisticated in your interior than a standard photo book that all of the Netherlands lets gather dust in the bookshelf.
