Hello and welcome to the aftertalk of what was once the most exciting series on TV, and suddenly has become the most predictable Saturday night: The Traitors, where the chance is about a hundred percent that a Traitor will be voted out. Really, with these odds I would go to the casino. Am I a millionaire.

1. It's episode 5 and Katja is just now realizing that she ‘maybe can't fully trust her intuition’. Well, just in time, HAHA.

2. It's a pity that her diary hasn't really made a comeback — I'm so curious about what thoughts are in there.

3. ‘I'm really a bad bitch from Almere. But then from Amsterdam.’ — Bente. I really had to Google this text because I felt like such a boomer who didn't understand the reference.... It turns out to be a song by Famke Louise, so I don't feel too bad that I didn't get it.

4. But seriously, if JayJay gets voted out this episode, I'm going to be a little fed up. It was really cool in the first episode that a Traitor got voted out right away, it was bizarre that it happened again in the second episode, and the third time might have been a bit too much of a good thing.

5. I mean: isn't it the essence of the show that we should hope that finally, for once, a Traitor doesn't get voted out? In previous seasons, it was really a rarity that they caught one.

6. Although I would love it most if JayJay gets caught by Bertie because he can't lie to her. Heart for JayJay.

7. Imagine, you're a fly on the wall during the discussions behind the scenes: ‘Hoedadaaaakkk are we going to make sure that in an episode no Traitor gets voted out? How did we do that in previous seasons?! Have we lost our mojo?!’

8. By the way, I'm becoming more of a fan of Pepijn with each episode and I hope he and Bertie end up in the final together. The only one who sincerely thanked for the role of Traitor and that should be rewarded.

9. Honestly: I can almost sketch these thoughts out a week in advance. Next week we'll see how the next Traitor gets voted out, until the final. Until next season, bye bye!

10. No, but really: it's almost more exciting to speculate about who Bente is going to force to join (because they can no longer refuse, of course). My prediction is Bertie, because the chance is very high that he will be voted out next week and then Bente can chuckle in her little fist that her master plan is going to succeed.

11. The exuberance in the group is also so tame. ‘Seriously dude, JayJay? Were you a Traitor? Well, say. Never thought. Never! NEXT.’

12. Just curious: who do you think will become the new Traitor? I secretly hope for Katja; by now I have so much trust in her and no one would expect it. Just shake up the game, hoppa.
