The Traitors: Aftershow episode 6

By
De Verraders

My Saturday night has now consisted of six weeks in a row of lounging on the couch with the Traitors, but I could almost swear it counts as a workout because my heart rate is really going for it. Every season I am amazed again at how none of my predictions are correct. Just realize: Sander is in it and is just a good Traitor... And Maria is out. And this episode is going to get even weirder, I think. Let’s goooo.

1. Yesss come on Jan, join those Traitors. HATSAAA.

2. I am somewhat worried that Selma really went after him a few hours ago because she finds him so suspicious — and once Selma gets her claws into something... This could turn out to be a very short Traitor adventure for Jan.

3. But honestly: this is the most fun way to participate in this game. That you have experienced both sides. I think you can be such a good Traitor then. All my trust in this.

4. If Sander and Jan then team up to get Katinka out, I will be completely happy.

5. Katinka: ‘I just really gave him a hard time.’ WE KNOW THAT. And I can get angry about it again.

6. HAHA. Jan who immediately says ‘there was no other option’ with Maria. Jan gets it. And no Katinka, it’s not because he’s a man — your reasoning was just quite problematic.

7. I’ll count to ten, because I’m already getting way too stressed out.

8. It’s so funny that in the very first episode I had exactly zero trust in Sander, and now I really think he’s great. If Sander and Selma win that program together, I’ll be a happy viewer.

9. By the way, I would like to see and hear more from a few participants; Chahid and Nathan for example. With the increasingly thinning group, I hope they also get to speak more often.

10. Jordy: ‘never change a winning horse.’ He says it so convincingly that I almost start to think this is seriously a saying.

11. Wait, wait. They didn’t kill Selma. Right? No. Fucking. Way. Is this a sick joke?

12. Thaaaank you Videoland; keeping it as a cliffhanger for the commercial that we don’t know if Selma is dead, but showing her in the preview anyway. I am really unreasonably invested in this program and if Selma were to be killed, I might honestly stop watching.

13. So many plus points for Plan Katinka-must-go-and-tonight.

14. She is really asking for it, you know; screwing Sander over and immediately wanting to make Jan suspicious too. I think it’s high time for this poison again.

15. Katinka who also screams after the task: ‘I knew it i Knew iTtTtT,’ after which Tijl dryly says: ‘...No. So you didn’t know.’ He is so fed up with it too.

16. But that she still doesn’t realize that Sander also has a double agenda by now is quite disappointing from her — especially since Jan doesn’t want to exchange a word with her anymore.

17. From Jordy, Jessie, Maya, and Ferry, I really get the idea that they think they have it all figured out, but they just go through the game very tranquilo and are constantly on the wrong track. Love it.

18. A shoutout to the production, and to Tijl: ‘Katinka, does your story actually have a point?’ And then all those nodding people at the round table, who are just power napping after this sleep-inducing moment. If they had put the soundtrack of The Neverending Story behind this, it would have been perfect.

19. ‘There’s a saying: Someone who needs a lot of words speaks a lie… And I just made that up on the spot.’ Jan could also become my ultimate favorite. Keep those sayings coming. Never change a winning horse, right?

20. What a mindfuck for the Loyalists to watch this back; that the Traitors are really beating each other up the hardest.

21. Selma: ‘It’s absolutely not the Selma show, huh guys.’ Uh, hello? It definitely is and exactly how we want it, thank you very much.

22. Hallelujah. Katinka out. I’m going to tell kids later that this was our Champions League final that we won. The reason we celebrate King’s Day. An important moment in history.

23. And again, Selma is the first to figure it all out. They should really listen to her more. Although the season would then be quite short.

24. Whut: if Jordy comes in as a Traitor and wins with Sander... I don’t even have words for that. I really need to process this episode.
