10 things every father does

Let me start by saying that your father is most likely always your biggest cheerleader, but sometimes you can really stick him behind the wallpaper. They just have those certain traits and sayings that are so ‘typical dad‘. Oh, secretly I can always laugh about it. Does this sound familiar if there’s another dad in your life? Then the following points might ring a bell.
1. ‘Ok’
If a friend were to send you ‘ok’, you would know that you did something wrong. With your father, however, it's the most normal thing in the world. You should actually start worrying if ‘okey’ is sent.
2. Staring out the window
Does your dad ever stand at the window in the living room for five minutes out of nowhere? And then not say anything, just standing there. Don't forget the two hands on his hips.
3. The hand
Ugh, this was really my biggest annoyance when I was younger. You were in the car, opened a bag of candy, and the first one to beg was your dad, reaching his hand behind his seat towards you. Infuriating.
4. ‘Let me think about it for a moment’
When a new television is bought, it can't just happen quickly online. First, your dad goes through all the flyers, then he inquires in the store, and finally, he searches the entire internet. Eventually, the magical words ‘let me think about it for a moment’ come out of his mouth.
5. Zooming in
With every photo that needs to be taken, your dad turns into a photographer. On one knee, phone turned horizontally, and then zooming in. I don't find it strange that you complain about the poor quality of a photo.
6. ‘First, get your diploma’
Well, I have little to add here. With all the future plans you share at the dinner table, it always comes down to the same thing according to your dad: ‘First, get your diploma.’
7. ‘Who is that?’
Every football player or Formula 1 racer is known by your dad by heart, but the names of your friends who have been around for years? Forget it.
8. Stress chicken
What is it with dads and vacations? There is always a fight due to your dad's stress when you go on vacation. ‘Do we have the passports?’ ‘Did you lock that door?’ Yes-yeah.
9. ‘I'll wait outside’
When you walk out of the store after half an hour, your dad has already taken a whole city walk and is sitting on a bench waiting with a soft ice cream.
10. ‘We didn't do that back in the day’
Sorry dad, times have changed.
