This city in Europe would be the best for wintering

Oh, stop it, I'm already so tired of this winter slump. And so I'm busy planning fun trips, whether they stay in my head or actually come to fruition doesn't even matter to me right now, as long as I have a distraction from the miserable weather here. And yet I think every year again: I just have to really do it once, overwintering in the sun. That's been on my bucket list for a long time but I've never done it. It seems wonderful to me, but also a bit tough, to live for months in a different time zone than your friends and family.

But there's a solution for that, because if I The Sun have to believe, the perfect area to overwinter is simply in Europe. In Spain, to be precise. It's a place where beer is still cheap, just like sangria and tapas, there's no abundance of tourists, it's always close to the beach, and even in the heart of winter, it's still around 20 degrees – only in January can it sometimes get cooler. This week, at the beginning of November, it’s still hitting 25 degrees. Enjoying.

Where is this paradise, you might be wondering? That's Murcia, which lies between Alicante and Cartagena. From here, you can also easily take some trips to other cities, although you won't get bored in Murcia: it's also called The Garden Of Europe because of the many beautiful plants, trees, mountains, and valleys. The Segura River flows through this Spanish region, whose capital is also called Murcia.
