This is what influencers take at Coachella against the hangover

Yes, I really enjoy all that Coachella content on my TikTok. It helps a bit against FOMO and you get to see much better how such a festival actually works. In previous years, I mostly experienced it through Instagram, but then you really only see the beautiful sides. I was already wondering how everyone manages to look so perfect every day. I mean: I can't even manage that for one day at Lowlands. Now I've also seen a lot of TikToks about what it's like to camp there, how you can cook there, and what the showers are like. What turns out? Exactly the same as at Lowlands, but then in the middle of the desert, or in other words: you sweat like crazy.

What I also wondered is how people survive all those days. The celebs and influencers are of course not at the campsite; they rent villas or Airbnbs. You obviously sleep better, but Coachella is also known for their afterparties. After the festival is over, you still go for quite a few hours; those afterparties are almost as popular as Coachella itself. I already get tired just thinking about it and can only imagine that those hangovers will be really killer. How do those people survive that?

Well, I now have an answer to that. Alix Earle shared the following TikTok, in which she and a friend watch the concert of Bad Bunny back in their gigantic villa. He performed the night before, but Alix Earle and her posse had drunk a bit too much, so they couldn't do anything and went home early. And then they still had to survive the whole weekend. So what do they do? Exactly, you can already see it in the TikTok: they are on an IV.

That is currently a huge hype in LA; just getting an IV to cure your hangover. Experts say there is no evidence that it works, yet many influencers swear by it. This IV helps particularly against dehydration; in addition to vitamins, there is some kind of saline solution in it. Will this hype ever cross over to the Netherlands? Honestly, it seems really scary to me to suddenly be sitting at home with an IV on the couch because you drank the light out of your eyes the day before. I think I'll skip this hype...
