Vandaag tippen we de hairextensions die je haar niet beschadigen

For years I have had a love-hate relationship with my hair. In the past, it was so long, completely natural, and I took that a bit for granted — and completely ruined it. I thought it was a good idea to dye my hair brown (turned black), then go back to blonde (turned orange) and experiment a lot with bleaching my hair myself. If you, like I did back then, don’t see the danger in that: don’t do it. Trust me, you will regret it.
Because now my hair hasn’t grown any longer for about six years; it’s breaking off. In my head, I’m still that blonde with beautiful, long hair. So what’s the solution? Of course: extensions. But I wouldn’t be myself if I hadn’t first messed that up too… The micro rings damaged my hair even more than it already was, so after two years of putting my hair through hell, I decided to approach it differently.
After googling for a while, I ended up at BRUSH Hair + Make-Up, who has been my regular hairdresser for about three to four years now. I trust no one else with my hair, because after all those years of struggle (mostly suffering), it finally looks healthy again. And I do need a bit of help with that.
I have been getting tape-in extensions for a while now, which are not harmful to your hair. And I must honestly admit that I was quite skeptical about that at first, because I had heard that talk before… I am still amazed every time at how strong my own hair has become — and remains. Every one and a half to two months, I have these tapes raised (which takes less than an hour: ideal), my own hair is also given a figurative wash, and I see again how healthy it has become.
I’m not ready to say goodbye to my extensions and fully embrace my ‘real’ hair yet, but I am thinking about maybe getting clip-ins. They also make those to measure at BRUSH Hair + Make-Up. On the other hand: my hair really has no trouble with this right now, so I would be crazy to switch.
What I find most ideal is that you can also play a bit with the amount of your extensions; sometimes I only use one or two packs, but when I recently went to the Cannes Film Festival, I went for a bit more so that my hair got a lot of volume.
So here’s a sincere tip if you also dream of long and healthy hair, but want to protect your own hair: book a consultation with Bryan and Justin, the owners of BRUSH Hair + Make-Up. These tapes have really proven to be a lifesaver for me.
