The Traitors: Aftershow Episode 4

Ever since the great news from last week that I could sign up as a completely unimportant non-celebrity, I have been manifesting my way through life that I will be chosen for the next season. And I take that very seriously, so every episode of De Verraders is just hard work. You could even say that I take it more seriously than Selma. No okay, that's an exaggeration, nobody can top that.

But good, this episode was just enjoyable again. How come Sander suddenly is a steady Traitor? There was a lot going on again and I need to go through that with you.

1. ‘What I'm nervous about is the day that is coming.’ Poetic, Noël. And don't worry, Sander will surely do something that makes him incredibly suspicious again.

2. Looove that Sander now criticizes how Maria enters, that way is way too suspicious. Honestly: I agree with him, but just 42 hours ago he was a hundred times worse.

3. Noooo, not Herrie in de Keuken who has been murdered. I'm really bummed about this. Did not see that coming at all. I really would have liked to enjoy him for much longer.

4. HAHA: ‘Herman didn't really have an opinion; when I asked ‘what do you think?’, he started talking about fish and how to fillet it.’ You just want to keep this guy in the game. Mega fun.

5. I take everything back: Noël is handling this so awkwardly. And then to clumsily slip up with the daggers, and just mess everything up: he's the one in trouble. Selma is on her case now, so you know how that goes. She won't let this slide.

6. Maybe it's better that Herman is gone, because I don't really think this form of pétanque would suit him very well.

7. Katinka really thinks: holy shit, is there ever a task where you don't have to run or transport gigantic balloons, kthnx?

8. Selma: ‘Katinka, SORRY, but I just have a strong personality.’ Loooove Selma. The audacity is real.

9. Okay okay: the brotherhood is falling apart a bit. Jordy is just going to coldly vote Sander out. Kris Kross Amsterdam still exists, so it will probably turn out fine in the end.

10. #durftevragen: I think those kinds of nails à la Jessie Maya look really cool, but how on earth do you get through life with those centimeters-long sharp weapons? I would have scratched my eye out in no time.

11. Life Pro Tip: never argue with Selma. Under no circumstances. Avoid that at all costs.

12. So I signed up for The Traitors, so now I'm working out all sorts of tactics... But wouldn't it be very clever if one Traitor actually goes for someone else? Then you can never be the instigator of the banishment of a Loyal.

13. You understand: I would probably be out in the first episode again.

14. Aaah, I really feel sorry for Noël. Meine gute, this program really brings out the ugliest side of people.

15. And Sander just breezes through it again. Bet that Maria will be out before he is? My crystal ball tells me that she will be the one in trouble next week.

16. I don't quite understand Chahid's trial, but I gather that they now find Maria suspicious and my prediction above is already proving to be more and more correct.

17. Katinka: ‘We really had to work hard today, damn.’ I really have the strong feeling that Katinka is talking about that intensive trial with all those balls and running through the woods and not necessarily about the game itself.

18. HO. A twist. I love twists. Death list? Extra Traitors? Or just nothing going on?

19. And check that promo. My crystal ball never lies. Selma is going full throttle on Maria and we now know what that means: if Selma is after you, you won't survive the next episode.
