sunflower shower

Every year I struggle with a winter dip and every year it hits me hard. As if it keeps getting worse. Of course, I know what helps: sun. A lot of sun. So every year, if possible, I try to book a vacation (or workation) to a sunny destination, but so far it has not really been possible to spend the winter somewhere in 30 degrees, so here in the Netherlands, I am also looking for ways to temper that winter dip a bit.

The tanning bed is an option that many people choose, but I would rather not because it is so bad for you. I know, I know: I’m not making it easier for myself. So I have now discovered something that I find quite brilliant: Sunshower. The name says it all a bit: it indeed mimics the effect of the sun in your bathroom.

This is then installed in the shower and emits infrared rays (so good for your skin, muscles, and joints), in addition, you can also choose a low dose of UV light — which is in such a low dose that it is not harmful to you but does promote the production of vitamin D.

They are available in different colors and I am seriously going to have this installed in my bathroom for next winter. It is more than worth it if I can tackle that winter dip a bit more with this, and to be honest: I would just use this all year round.
