Big news about Virgin River

More great news about Virgin River: plenty of reason to celebrate. Two weeks ago, they announced when the Christmas episode would be available of the series, but now there might be even better news. That Christmas episode is a nice wrap-up of the fifth season, but the sixth season was still quite uncertain, and that had everything to do with the writers' strike that had been going on for a long time in Hollywood.

But good (or rather: amazing) news: that writers' strike is over, the parties have reached an agreement, and that means for Virgin River that the sixth season is officially in the making. Yiiiii-haaaa.

The cast and crew of Virgin River are (logically) also incredibly happy about this and post a cheerful snapshot on Instagram. ‘Thrilled to have our writing team back in action, diving into season 6!’

A release date is not yet known, and I guess we will really have to wait quite a while for that, but hey, the beginning is there. And for now, we can happily count down to those Christmas episodes… Not a punishment either.
