There are 7 ways to take your rest and you need to know them all

Taking a break is more than just sleeping. There are seven ways to take your rest, and in these busy times, that is more important than ever. The burnout rates have been telling the truth for years. We all collapse because we always have to keep going.
That’s why it’s good for everyone to know these different ways: doctors have been writing about it for a long time, and posts like this go viral on LinkedIn. From mindfulness to physical activities, it’s important to know and use a bunch of techniques to calm and recharge yourself. How do you get your own battery full again so that you feel like doing everything and can handle it all again?
1. Physical rest
This indeed consists of getting enough sleep (aim for at least seven hours a night, if possible), but also lying on the couch, getting a massage, or doing yoga to stretch your body and feel good. Relaxing.
2. Rest in your mind
You might know this one too, but we often forget it: go meditate. Do journaling. Write down your thoughts and practice mindsets and manifesting. Believe in your abilities.
3. Emotional rest
Spend time with people with whom you can truly be yourself, in your casual clothes, without pretense.
4. Sensory rest
No phone in your bed and turn off your notifications. It’s often underestimated what it does to you to always be reachable. Don’t just put your phone away at night when you go to sleep, but also during the day for an hour. Leave it in your bag when you get home. It really calms you down because you live more in the now.
5. Social rest
Relationships can sometimes be exhausting: those with colleagues, with your neighbors, with your friends. They also give energy, but they cost it too. Set your own boundaries and say no sometimes. Dare to be alone more often and do something by yourself. Your brain gets a breather when you only have to think about yourself.
6. Creative rest
We sometimes need to give our brain some space. You do this mainly by spending time in nature from time to time. Spend some time on your hobby. Draw, puzzle, or dance. Do something that makes you happy.
7. Spiritual rest
Travel more often, take a few deep breaths, read a book. It does more for you than any therapy.
