The 90’s ombre lips are back in style

Chanel launches a transparent lip liner, say what? Everything to keep your bright red lipstick or other shade within the lines of your lips. Handy, for sure. Especially now around the holidays. But not entirely in trend right now. Well, right now? Has it ever really gone away; the lip liner? It's definitely cooler than ever now. Thanks in part to our girl crush Hailey Bieber, we can go wild again with an outer-corner lip liner in a dark shade.

Kylie Jenner did this years ago to make her lips look fuller than they already were. Her tip? Just slightly ‘overline’ your lips. If you look closely in the mirror, you'll see a lighter, almost white edge around your lips. If you give that a bit of extra color with a liner, your lips will look fuller than they actually are. The goal is to emphasize the silhouette of your lips this way. Want even more volume? Then apply an extra layer around your cupid's bow (the top of your lip) and at the bottom, so you highlight that extra and create more volume. A little coloring with lip gloss or lipstick and you're done: your look is complete. Check out the video below.
